Children intensive sessions
Two-hour group Conductive Education sessions in short blocks, run every summer and through most school holidays.
Focused Conductive Education sessions for children
Our intensive sessions for children offer Conductive Education in short, concentrated blocks rather than spreading them across the year. Your child attends every day for three, four or five days, working on the same skills in every session.
That concentrated practice can build their motor learning faster than weekly sessions alone, since repetition close together helps new movement patterns stick.
Intensive sessions are a good way to try Conductive Education before committing to weekly sessions, with any progress made in a block carrying through into the rest of the year.
The practical details
Intensive sessions combine structured activities and imaginative play to help the children learn without it feeling like work. Each child has a personalised annual plan with individual targets and sessions are built around those goals.

What the sessions work on
Each block focuses on a specific skill, alongside a programme built around your child’s condition. We choose the skill based on what your child is working towards in their personalised annual plan, so every block has a clear purpose.
Working in a group matters as much as the activities themselves. The children motivate each other, work hard together and share what they’ve achieved, which builds their confidence alongside their physical skills.
Our practitioners adjust each activity to your child’s ability, so everyone in the group is working towards their own goals, at their own pace, within the same session.
- Fine manipulation – Hand and finger control for everyday tasks.
- Balance and coordination – Building stability and controlled movement.
- Walking – Weight transfer, gait and confidence on the move
