Happy New Year! We are back with a bang and some biscuits!

January 26, 2026

We are kicking off 2026 at MBH with a brand-new blog – just one of many exciting things happening over the course of this year.

Our NEW blog will give you an insight, not only into MBH, but Conductive Education (CE) as a whole and learn about what we do, how we do it and most importantly, why we do it!

Before we delve into all of that, we would like to give you an update of what we have been up to so far in the first two weeks of 2026…

Most of our team started the new year on Friday 2nd January, by composing targets and aims for our participants, for the term ahead.  Naturally, this was all washed down with plenty of tea and coffee, accompanied by the mound of biscuits and chocolate gifts we gratefully received over Christmas. Thank you!

Monday 5th January, the whole team were back for a morning of Parkinson’s training. We always have a couple of training days each term to get together as a team, discuss ideas, groups and anything else needed. This allows us to provide our best possible service, to move MBH forward and to continue our professional development.

Our Parkinson’s training went as far as putting six members of staff on a plinth, two members of staff (our students) facilitating, one member leading and two members asking questions such as where we should facilitate, how fast and why we need to correct certain body parts. This allowed all of us to experience what it feels like from the participant’s perspective to ensure that we are always focused on why we do what we do and how we best enable clients. It doesn’t matter how long you have worked at MBH, there is always room to learn and develop!

John, our CEO, popped in to give us an update on management at MBH and anything staff need to be aware of for the new year! Thankfully, it was all positive and set us in good spirits for 2026.

These positive vibes were carried on throughout the afternoon, when we went across to our new Ledbury Two venue, joined by the whole team (including our Trustees) for a buffet to celebrate the New Year!

From 6th January it was business as usual as we welcomed back participants for their first sessions of 2026 and a new member of staff, James.   He now joins our CE team of Sue, Amanda, Tash, Chloe, Rossella, Becca, Mariann, Becky, Kelly, Izzy and Sarah!

That’s it for now from us.  In our next blog post we will be diving deeper into the magic behind CE how we do at MBH, how we turn ambitions into reality and most importantly, why it matters.  Stay tuned!
