Specialist Therapy Practitioner – Neurodevelopmental & Motor Disorders

Salary: up to £39,000 (dependent on experience)
The Post
Megan Baker House (MBH) is recruiting a Specialist Therapy Practitioner to join our multi-disciplinary team supporting children and adults with neurodevelopmental and motor disorders.
This post is open to qualified occupational therapists, physiotherapists or suitably experienced therapy / rehabilitation practitioners.
The successful candidate will work alongside our conductive education (CE) specialists (AKA conductors) within a CE framework, contributing professional expertise to enhance functional independence, participation and overall wellbeing of our beneficiaries.
Full training and induction in CE philosophy and practice will be provided.
The Role
You will:
• Work collaboratively within group and individual CE settings
• Contribute specialist therapeutic knowledge to support motor, functional and daily living development
• Participate in integrated goal setting within a multi-disciplinary team
• Support development of postural control, functional movement and independence
• Contribute to assessment processes and measurement of outcomes
• Deliver sessions in outreach venues (including schools) across Herefordshire, Gloucestershire, Worcestershire and Shropshire
This role compliments — rather than replaces — CE delivery and requires a collaborative, reflective approach.
Person Specification
Essential:
• Degree in occupational therapy, physiotherapy or relevant rehabilitation/therapy qualification
• Experience working with individuals with neurological, motor or complex needs
• Strong communication skills and ability to work within a team
• Willingness to undertake in-house training in CE
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
Desirable:
• Experience working in educational or community-based settings
• Interest in holistic, person-centred practices
