Golf Day raises life-changing funds for Megan Baker House

After a long 18 months without being able to hold any Fundraising events, local charity, Megan Baker House (MBH), were delighted to host their third annual Golf Day recently at Leominster Golf Club.
The day began bright and early and following a welcome coffee and bacon roll, the first of the eighteen teams, teed off at 9.00 am on a ‘Texas Scramble’ start.

For many people it was the first opportunity they’d had to meet others face-to-face for a long time.
The Charity want to say a huge thank you to the Club and Golf Pro, Andrew, as everyone had a brilliant day.

MBH CEO, Lee Gough, said: ‘I was thrilled with the £1500 raised from the day. Thank you so much to our sponsors, Lanyon Bowdler and Leominster Motors, and to everyone who played on the day and the many others who helped and supported us before and during the event.

Every penny raised goes directly to providing life-changing interventions for families in the region and events of this nature mean a great deal to us.’

Megan Baker House specialise in helping children and adults with neurological motor disorders such as Cerebral Palsy, Multiple Sclerosis, Dyspraxia, Parkinson’s, Stroke and Acquired Brain Injury.

The Charity’s next big Fundraising Event is the Eastnor Castle Mud Bath on October 10th and it is urging as many people as possible to ‘Get Down and Dirty for MBH.’ Visit the Events page at for more details.
