Chief Executive
Telephone: 01568 616179
When I first visited Megan baker House in 2006 I had only heard of conductive education once before - 'The' Panorama programme in the 1980's. I was working at Worcester Cathedral as the fund raising manager for the Cathedral and the Music and Light Appeal, a position which I had no intention of leaving. However, Jo asked me to come and work for her as the fund raising manager and I have never looked back. Every day brings a new story - seeing children who had been given little or no hope of ever being able to sit-up, let alone feed or toilet themselves, doing all of these things and taking steps on legs which were not expected to be able to support the child.
Following Jo's departure in September, the Trustees asked me to take over as Chief Executive - a role which I was delighted to accept. I live in Malvern with my husband John and my youngest daughter, Minty and our dog Beth. I have two other children and two delightful grand-children. I enjoy walking, running (I ran the Great North Run for MBH in 2007) and am a founder member of Worcester Vigornia Rotary Club. |

I joined Megan Baker House some 18 months ago as an administrator and am also the current volunteer co-ordinator. Having worked in a family sign business for some fifteen years prior to Megan Baker, I thoroughly enjoy the difference in working for a charity and seeing such a worthwhile end result in the improvement of the skills of our participants.
