London to Paris

25th June 2014

Fiona Ide is riding her bike from London to Paris to raise money for us

The West Malvern mother, who thought cycling 20 miles was a long haul, is taking on the 300-mile challenge over just four days.

The trip will involve three lots of 80-miles and a final slog of 60, ending up at the Eiffel Tower.

“It is a daunting prospect, but Megan Baker House does such amazing work that the exhaustion will be worth it,” said Fiona, who is training on Malvern’s hills.

“It is a lifeline for families. Without any state help, Megan Baker House gives their children the chance to achieve their full potential,” said Fiona.

“One of the most fantastic things is that this wonderful service is free. The more we raise, the more they can do. I am paying for the trip myself so that everything donated, however small, will be for the charity.”
