Last month at MBH
What a busy month June has been, at the beginning of the month Zoe presented to the staff at Sainsbury’s, Hereford and we are now in the running to be their charity of the year – we will be held in suspense until the 11th July. That weekend was the fabulous Yarkhill Field to Fork Festival, set in the beautiful Herefordshire countryside the festival raised £5500. We are looking forward to the organisers coming into to visit us and the children soon.
Our garden has been spruced up ready for the summer; Cadburys sent a team of workers on the 6th and they all worked nonstop throughout the day painting, weeding etc, we are extremely thankful to them all. Our volunteers Nigel and Cathy who on a regular basis tidy the garden and mow the lawns certainly had a helping hand that day.
We were delighted when HW Chamber of commerce choose MBH as one of the four charities that their awards ceremony evening would support. Lee along with 3 helpers sold raffle tickets on the night and in total the evening raised just over £4000, we have gratefully received a cheque for £1025.
The MBH express on the 11th despite the wet start was a huge success as always. We would like to thank Abi and her mum who ran the refreshment stalls and Ray who was on car parking duty.
The rain didn’t put a dampener on the MBH Ascot Ladies day, it was a fantastic day enjoyed by all and the day raised nearly £4000.
Moor Park school have also been fundraising through up the year for MBH and anther charity, we have since received a cheque for £3138.10 which we are very grateful for.
Hereford Sixth Form College also chose MBH as their charity to support for this academic year and were delighted to have aside £577.61, throughout the year pupils and teachers hold different events for their chosen charity.
We have also received lots of other donations all of which we are very grateful for, your continued supported is very much appreciated.
Classroom assistant Becky after 18months of studying has completed her Classroom assistant’s course at The National Institute of Conductive Education. We were extremely proud of Becky who attended the graduation day to receive her certificate.
With the end of term fast approaching we have started to take photos of the children achieved aims, they have all worked very hard this term and this will be evident in their summer term photo report and achievements. The children break up on the 8th July then we will all be working very hard over the next two weeks to ensure all reports are completed and sent out to parents by the 22nd July.
