Last month at MBH
July wrapped up the end of the 2015-2016 academic year. It’s been a fantastic year with the children making some amazing achievements, we are very proud of all the children for their hard work and dedication. Please ensure you follow us on Facebook ad twitter, there are always videos of the children working hard! (all can be found on YouTube too by searching Megan Baker House)
The CE staff broke up on the 22nd July to enjoy a 3 week break; everyone will be back at work on Monday 15th for the start of holiday club, we’ve got two fun packed weeks planned for the children.
We’ve been kindly supported by so many people this month to name a few; Glad Rags golf day on the 1st July raised £16,354.63. Our first Show jumping event at Kings equestrian raised £600 and we would like to thank everyone who attended and also a special thanks to Jon Stroud Media for the fantastic photography and Jerry King for being our jump judge for the day. Nigel and Cathy our very supportive volunteers tackled the Liverpool night cycle on the 16th July, their sponsorship is still coming in via their Justgiving page. Well done to you both and what a fantastic achievement. We were also one of the beneficiary charities chosen by Ludlow Rotary to receive a donation from the Ludlow Dog Day. What a fantastic day that was, dogs and their owners swarmed through the gates to enjoy the day within the beautiful grounds of Stokesay Castle. We also received a cheque for £1025 from the Hereford and Worcester Chamber Awards ceremony, Open House Charity Darts Group donated £985.24 for new equipment, the Yarkhill festival raised £5500, Central Bakery donated the 5p’s from the carrier bags which totalled £130.47 and last but certainly not least Ludlow Quaker group donated £184.
Thank you to everyone who has supported us this year, as always its very much appreciated and we hope you will continue to support us.
