Last month at MBH
April started off with the centre being closed and the staff enjoying a well earnt Easter break.
Once back we welcomed visitors from Kidwells who came to see what MBH is all about and meet some of our children. Di and Amanda went away having had a lovely visited and truly touched by the children they observed.
From the 15th- 22nd we had the charity shop in Leominster again which raised £472.95 As always we wouldn’t be able to run it without all the donations we received and our fantastic volunteers. We also were lucky enough to be supported by Lloyds bank Leominster who help out by provided staff to help in the shop.
The Easter Raffle was a huge success and we raised the most we have ever raised from the raffle £755.90! Thank you to everyone who purchased tickets and also to everyone who donated prizes.
On the 21st we celebrated Debenhams, Herefords 1st birthday with them at their fashion events and received proceeds from their raffle. On the same day Mikki Hough, held a coffee morning and raffle in Ross on Wye and raised a fabulous £300!
The 23rd was a very busy day at the centre as always on a Thursday we had our primary group in followed by a dyspraxia but on this day we also welcomed 11 students and their tutor Sue Baylis from Worcester University for a day of training. The students had a busy schedule, they observed the children, had an equipment workshop, a MBH & CE presentation and final they were put through their paces and had to participate in a dyspraxia standing programme on wobble cushions – this was a tricky challenge!!
We also welcomed PGCE students over a period of a few weeks who also valued their time at MBH “I will be taking away a lot from here into my future teaching career – you are all inspirational!”
