Cameron Dickens Smith
Cameron was born in November and was moved from a midwifery hospital after his Mum didn't dilate properly.

He was born 7lb 7oz extremely pale, floppy and not breathing. He was resuscitated and put into an incubator where he started to fit.
All his organs started to shut down, kidneys and liver etc. We then had an awful week of hoping that they would come back to life and allow him to function normally. Then after a week everything started working as normal and we were able to hold and touch him for the first time, it was an amazing feeling!
After two weeks at home we believed we had a normal child after everything we had been through was over. Two months later we were given the devastating news that Cameron had severe Cerebral Palsy and would not walk or talk.
After six months of physio and portage we were told about Megan Baker House by Cameron's Aunt. We were invited for an assessment and Kriszti was very helpful and informed us he would benefit from coming to the centre.
Cameron started in October 2006 and has just gone from strength to strength. The Conductors are very friendly and he warmed to them as quickly as any small child can.

He can now take a valid interest in everything around him. He can sit for small amount of times, roll when he feels like it and make independent decisions all of which were just a pipe dream twelve months ago.Due to the exceptional help Cameron has received at Megan Baker House life with our son has become so much more enjoyable and easier with Cameron being able to make choices and let us know more about how he is feeling and what he wants.
We thank everyone at Megan Baker House for making Cameron 100% the happy little boy he is today.
I would recommend Megan Baker House to anyone looking to obviously improve their child's future life.
