Athetoid and Ataxia Group

This group has been specifically put together for children, who have athetoid or ataxic type of cerebral palsy.

The programme and the aims are very specific for these two types of CP. During the sessions we especially focus upon teaching how to help with involuntary movements through dynamic, complex and targeting tasks in various positions and situations. We also aim to improve the children’s movements in the dimension of space and time.

As well as all of the above, we also work on improving the children’s confidence, ability to play and socialise in an age appropriate way, their speech, language and self-care skills.
